Cocoon&me was established by Paula Clark in January 2017, located in Brighton, on the south coast of England.

Working with planet friendly materials such as cotton, jute, recycled textiles & vegan friendly fibres, Cocoon&me uses macramé, crochet & knitting to produce a range of original beautiful pieces for you, your home & garden. Designs are handmade & unique, the realisation of the designer's creative spirit & love of aesthetics. Put simply, the aim is to make beautiful objects for everyday living & life.

Cocoon&me is a small, family-run independent business committed to good business practice with sustainability & ethical conduct at its heart. All materials are carefully sourced & recycled where possible. The business is also involved in local community projects & works in partnership with a range of like-minded independent businesses.

Over the last few years, Cocoon&me have been exploring the therapeutic benefits of crafting, developing our fun, small group workshops teaching maker's skills, & creating our range of textile kits & patterns, giving the opportunity for you & your friends to make your very own bespoke & beautiful pieces.

Founder

Business owner Paula fell in love with all things artistic at a young age, whilst helping her multi-talented artist mother in her Covent Garden studio in the 1970s. Growing up in an environment buzzing with creativity, Paula went on to study a specialist Knitwear Degree at Middlesex. Notably, she was the winner of the prestigious Textprint prize for her final year degree show. The award was made in person by Paul Smith no less!

After finishing university, Paula enjoyed a long & successful career working in fashion as a knitwear designer at a senior level with many of the UK's leading businesses.

Paula decided to follow her long held dream of running her own business & Cocoon&me was born. From the very start, the aim has been to create a brand of beautiful things for like-minded people whilst respecting the people & planet that we all rely upon.
